Hello.  I'm in the market for new gaming computer.  Trying to keep it around 25K. I would appreciate any advice on the phase 1 build I have.
I am a single FPS gamer, not too much multiplayer. Usage 80% gaming 20% internet and watching videos.
I have a Dell 2407WFP. I believe 1920 x 1200 native resolution.  I plan on staying with a single monitor.
Thanks for your help.  This forum is great.  I am just a little overwhelmed with some of the options and terminology out there.

now we can go with intel 80GB ssd if you think that will be enough room, the setup for HDD is like this:

HDD1 = fast small drive: os/apps/games

HDD2 = regular large drive: media/personal/work file storage

this system has room to grow and for you to add another gpu down the road should you feel the need.

Thanks for the reply and advice. Yeah meant $2500. Don't know why my ticket wouldn't load..so made new ticket...478969. I have a question on some of the difference:
Case - I went with the Black Ops Assasin Edition - how does it compare with the Cooler Master HAF  92
Power Supply - I went with 750 watt -  do I need the additional 250 watt with this system.
Cooling - I went with the free upgrade H20: stage 2 Asetek Liquid CPU cooler.  Would this keep my system cooler than the  Stage 1: Noctua NH-U12P SE Dual 120mm Fans High Performance Cooler?
I also choose all the free boosts offered.  Not sure of all the pros and cons,  just that overclocking the processor is a good thing.
Any additional advice would be appreciated.
Thanks for the time.

that case cost more and has 3 180mm fans, the haf has 3 x 230mm fans and 1 xx 140mm, haf has the best airflow.

PSU, here always go with corsair psu if you want a good psu, also the corsair psu has a 5 year warranty of its own, the generic has the DS warranty of 3 years. As far as size goes if you don't think you will ever want to add a second gpu for more power then go with the corsair 750w.

coolling, you don't want asetek, its not real LC system and it performance is around the same as Noctua, we dont' recommend asetek or corsair coolers here, either go Noctua or go stage 3 LC for real LC performance.

OC/boost:

cpu: cpu boost is always the most important cause it makes a huge difference, but here with games all you need is around 3.8GHz oc, pass that in games its not really noticable, so stick with the free oc option.

gpu boost, the oc on gpu is so low here that you won't notice anything from it, IMO pointless.

OS boost, OS boost will make no difference in your app or games speeds whatsoever.

assuming you don't want to go sli this is what you would want, notice the price difference from your blackops build and mine has the corsair psu and etc:

Ok thanks for the feedback...of course taking your suggestions under advice leaves me with some wiggle room in staying around my $2500 budget which leads to more questions and not sure which route to go.  Always open to suggestions

Should I go to a 1000 watt power supply?

What does SLI bring to FPS gaming...besides the ability of SLI is there a big difference in speed with another 570 card?  I might get a bigger monitor, but I do not see having more than one on my desk.

As always all comments are welcomed.

If you think you gonna go 30" monitor then you will need sli, otherwise you won't, the only reason you want the bigger psu is to be able to go sli.

sli can give you more fps so that you can have a good average fps or it can help you cover minimum fps.

Ok it's a little over my budget but here is my latest build 479555. Looking toward the future and in the distance I think I can see a 30'' monitor on my desk. Not sure on the luxury trim yet.
Thanks for the time and advice.

build looks great, one problem, change your mobo to the pro version so you can get x8 on both lanes.

My pleasure and good luck
