Topic: 27" Gaming Monitor - which one? Posted: 15 Jan 2010 at 4:53pm |
It looks like a 27" monitor will fit on my desk for gaming.
I notice Dell, NEC, LG, Samsung, etc have models this size.
I know you want a very high viewing angle (vertial and horizontal) and resolution, but has anybody actually had personnel experience with any that they would recommend??
I have gone to a number of electronic stores and they do not have any on display to see....just the smaller ones.
I can order one on-line, but I am leary without knowing which one is best for gaming. Looking for the best possible picture.
Recommendations welcomed and encouraged...thx!!!

Maybe you should get 3 or 4 smaller ones. I found some for 100 each and I am thinking of 6 of them

which ever has the best quality. I would go for nec or Dell, as long as the viewing angles are there.

I heard the monitor glass is important.
Does either of these companies have a better reputation for quality glass??

1. Do you think the new dell u2711 will be as good or better than the dell 3007 or 3008?
2. Which is better for gaming the dell 3007 or 3008? (heard the 3008 had lag issues, were they ever fixed??)

1. the 30" will have higher res 2560 x 1600 while the 27" will have lower res 1900 x 1200, higher res is better.
2. both are ips non tn panels so I think the 3008 is good to go. |

I agree ,but I think among the choices,I'd probably go with a Samsung 305t refurb off ebay, before spending 1100$+ on any of the dell current(30 inch) offerings |
