k, decided to get the 2 275's but i was reading up on the 896mb and the 1792mb and it says that sli only runs as fast as the lowest card, so therefore, a 295gtx would run 896mb because it's sli'd in one card. So i think im gonna go with the 2 275gtx 1792mb. more mem doesn't hurt right? and if i decide to play uber high res, it should work better with more memory correct? |

Wrong, the 896MB can do exactly what the 1792MB can do. 4x aa, 8xaa, 16x af and all.
vram has nothing to do with your gpu's speed, more ram does not equal faster speeds in anyway. save your money and go with the 896. BTW 2 x 275 896MB beats 1 x 295 in performance ![]() ![]() Edited by DST4ME - 12 Aug 2009 at 7:51pm |

You only need 1792MB memory if you plan on gaming on a 30" with a resolution of 2560x1600 or higher. Other than that, it's a waste of money. And by going with the larger memory card, you won't be futureproofing anything since the GTX 200 series does not support DX11.
