I was just on evga's site, and they are having a contest...evidentlly a new processor is suppost to come out feb 27th, a 2nd gen core i7 extreme edition...anyone got any news on this? maybe leaked spec's, since my order for my SB build is on hold till the new motherboards come in I may end up upgrading processors if its a bit better.

That would be the 990x, just a slightly higher binned CPU than the 980x. Performance will be identical to the 980x, unless you are pushing for that last 200Mhz. Big%20Smile

High end SB processors comes out Q3 of this year and will have a difference socket, it won't fit in the 1156 socket.
