Only if you're trying to game on a 2560x1440 or 2560x1600 resolution monitor with an unusually small budget. Normally dual SLI 480s would be recommended for that high of a resolution.
For 1920x1200 or lower resolutions dual SLI 470s is a complete waste. |

That is a low-meduim resolution, one GTX 470 will handle that for 90% of the games maxed out

TV's make very, very poor monitors. Unless you want to sit 10' away, it will look very crappy.
the amount of GPU power needed is directly in relation to resolution.

I don't now if you want my opninion on monitors. lol
It matters what size/resolution you are looking for. Myself I cannot use TN panel. rather have a 10" IPS panel than a 24" TN panel.. I have tried a dozen or so TN panels,, and they are all total crap IMHO but there are a lot of them in the 22"=26" range out there. lol
most S-IPS or H-IPS panel start at $400, for 22" $500 for 24" 26" $750 30" $1000

Try this: 24" 1920x1200 widescreen
I own this beauty, and it's a dream.
You could buy it here:
It's the best quality you can get for that price anywhere.
