I notice newegg offers two types of this ram. A Cas 9 and a Cas 7 version.

The difference is prices is amazing though, would such a lower cas REALLY make enough of a difference to warrent almost 280 bucks more? im searching around for ram, and im torn between these two, the cheaper one definally looks MUCH better, but i want to make sure the CAS wont be too much of a problem. Is there much of a difference between CAS 9 and CAS 7?

You won't notice the difference in a real life situation. Only reason to get the pair with lower timings is to overclock.
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star.
