Ok so I want to go with this config, with the 300gb for my games etc.  The WD For movies, music etc.
 
What I wish to know is this 40gb partition they make for the advanced backup, can it be on the WD?  While the 300gb SSD Boots?

You have to ask them that, keep in mind tho with the partition, if the drive goes bad, its gone.

you sure you need that big of a drive for os/games/apps?

but if that is it, then a 160GB should give you plenty of room for that 100GB of games and os/apps.

Is the 300gb just as fast as the 160gb?  If so Ill just go with that one.
 
I like to have extra room just in case lol!
 
Plus I got the money to spend.

4k speeds are close but large file speeds the 300 is faster.
