I had a stick of memory die so I bought 2 more gigs (only came in 2's) so now I have 3gb of ram and vista 32.

Would it hurt to put in the 3rd stick of RAM to give me 3gb?  I heard 2gb in dual channel is better than 3gb.

I only ask b/c I play The Witcher and Age of Conan which are huge memory hogs and thought that it might help performance a bit.

From what ive read, if you do that with 3 sticks youll lose dual channel in the memory which serious nerfs their performance. Basically youll always want to use either 2 sticks or 4 w/ dual channel.
