The new Aventum Level 3 comes with 3x 680.   The X79 platform with the right psu can do it no problem..

Hi xii,

From some of the reviews I saw two 7970s will out perform two 680s but three 680s out performed three 7970s. Of course the difference in performance in both cases is not enough to worry about. The 680s do have a slight Power Usage advantage. With the right power supply its not a big deal. I would go with the manufacture you like best.
