and I am absolutely LOVING my DS system!!!!! It's easy when you first get a rig to be spellbound by it. That's why I waited awhile to post. I bought the Vanquish 1, level 4 back at the beginning of March. I have played different games ranging from COD Ghosts, Crysis 3, Metro Last Light, Skyrim and more.......ALL with MAX SETTINGS. My monitor is only 1920 x 1080 but the graphics are absolutely GREAT! I hope everyone else is having as good an experience as I am having. Thank you again, Digital Storm. You have a continued customer here :)

I must say I am very happy with my vanquish system also.
I am sure my friends and some people who read my posts on other forums think I am a shill for DS since I always make a point of bringing them up if someone is looking for a new system. I just feel if you find a company you are happy with you should let people know. |

I am so glad to see so many people happy with their systems. I am waiting for mine to arrive, it is only a vanquish level 3 but I figure It should do a good job for now. If all goes well, by the time this rig shows its age, I will have landed a much better job and be able to afford one of those monster rigs you guys are enjoying.

You're going to love gaming on the V2 - 3. It's such a step up from anything else that it's replacing. By the time this machine shows it's age, you will be able to upgrade to a monster rig. All you have to do is put away $10-15 a week or so... (two stops at Starbucks, or one meal at Jack's King Carl in the MacWendys Bell Chicken house)... and you'll be sitting pretty when it comes time to get a new rig. That's my plan, at least. ("She who must be obeyed" doesn't know about my sleight of hand and will have no say when I get my next machine!!!) /shhhhhhh! |

Tomb Raider, Tiny&Big:Grandpas Leftovers, Metro Last Light. I highly recommend Metro-LL. One of the best games ever. Just be sure and turn off advanced Physx. You take a MASSIVE frame rate hit with it on, and what it adds is very subtle (in my opinion). Every other setting you can max out. |

Cool, will check it out. And thanks for the tip on the Physx. Is that a good rule of thumb to turn down Physx first if I need to improve performance?

If I notice I'm getting less than 55-60ish FPS in a game, that's always the first thing I check (whether or not it's using Physx). Whatever it adds it's not obvious, like AA or screen resolution, so I don't find it's worth the tradeoff in framerate. Maybe some games implement it better but the ones I've played that used it, it wasn't worth it. (Metro-LL, Batman Arkham City...) |

I let GeForce Experience have control of my settings. For the most part they have been right on.

I find Geforce Exp just maxes everything out. And using that slider under the wrench turns down stuff I want to leave on ultra. If I can't have everything maxed, then I'd rather tweak the settings myself... |
