So I just bought a brand new 1tb 860 evo on ebay from canada for 40USD. Wish me luck fam. Also, I have the bolt x with 470-I MOBO, i already have a m.2 ssd and a HDD, am i going to need a bracket for this ssd? Edited by Nagooker - 09 Jan 2019 at 8:08am |

Says your case is equipped for up to three 2.5" HD's. My case, a Corsair Obsidian, had plastic sliders that came out of the hard drive cage. All I had to do was screw the 860 EVO to the slider (carriage?) with screws that came with the SSD, and slide it back into the cage. Then I found power supply wiring and a free SATA cable bundled up behind the mobo. Others have said their extra hard drive bays already had wiring routed to them.
Some cases have some sort of slot/holder especially for small form factor SSD's behind the mobo. |
