400W PSU and GPU Upgrade

I have the "400W Digital Storm Performance Series " PSU and it says my only applicable upgrade for my GPU is to a 1070, is this a recommendation or am I really stuck with this until I upgrade my PSU ??

Looking at a 1070 online the recommended PSU is 500W and same for 2060

Yep prob time to step up that very small PSU a bit.
Upgrade the old PSU to a new efficient modular 750w or better PSU and you could then use any new NVidia RTX GPU up to a RTX 2080 Ti.   
Modular power supplies are easy to install...you can just use the power cables you actually need.    Less clutter.

The dependable Corsair 80% Certified Gold PSU’s have long 7 yr warranties!    I think the even more efficient Platinum Certified models have 10 yr warranties!
