My mom said pick the best one (for my little brother zakk, he uses an x1300pro) out under 300 i can find and im intwined between a
XFX HD4870 GDDR5,1gig/256 bit 775mhz/3800mhz 800 SPU OR GTX 260 XFX Black Edition GDDR3,896mb/448bit 666mhz/2300mhz 216 SPC. Im not sure whats better, 4870 is ddr5 though more memory, faster times, but 260 has more interface memory(bit), and from the reviews there just as good as the 4870. And there both the same price @ 275. Edited by JFuller092 - 28 Jan 2009 at 7:15pm |

I would't say kill, lot of games they are even, other games difference is around 10fps.

I was talking about stock speeds, and not even core 216 but core 200.
the core 216 (260+) will take the 4870 4 out of 6 games. Dead space:
Fallout 3:
Crysis Warhead:

best I can do:
Left for Dead:
looks like at 1440x900 you should be pulling around a 100fps and as you know over 60-70fps you will not notice a huge difference. |
