Anyone with a 4870x2 ever hear a strange noise when its under load. I read up and supposedly its just a thing some cards do with loud coils. When running 3dmark or Crysis it gets pretty loud. I was wondering if anyone else has that issue. Also I was wondering why on Crysis warhead / wars the Crytek logo is all in between jumpy gray lines, and the savanna level is full of squares / blocks instead of trees. Is it maybe a bad install?

same as hm...same card..never heard any noise...run your fan higher..solved my bsod problems..but never heard any noise.....maybe because the fan is so freaking lound now..lmao..Smile

Hrm. What brand cards you guys have?  I have a Saphire 4870x2 and it runs pretty cool in the HAF case.  Running no hotter than 70c underload with fans at 50 percent.

100 percent is loud! sounds like a leaf blower in your case.
