Budget:
[$3000]

Expectations:
[4k 60fps most of the time]

Usage:
[Home Media/ Gaming]

Special Needs:
No real special needs besides hooking it into my samsung ks8000 tv for actual 4k content as both my monitors are 1080p.

Specifications:
[I have a configuration I am looking at to solve all this wondering if it will be enough.1638849 is the config]

Mainly id like to game at 4k 60 fps in most games Mass effect Andromeda and Witcher 3 being leading examples. Now I dont mind if I have to lower a setting to high from ultra to hit 60 like shadows in these games but I want to have 60 frames stable.

Can't say a game like Witcher 3 on Ultra will get 60fps consistently on a 4K monitor, but it would probably stay in the 50's with the gtx 1080ti.    Tweaking settings a bit like you mentioned would get you at 60fps.    The 1080ti card is a very good 4K card and the way to go.

I would change the CPU and chipset from the x99/6800k to the z170/7700k for its faster clock speeds.   Games don't use 6 core but do like faster single core speeds. 7700k saves you money and does a bit better in gaming.   If you streamed, did productivity apps, etc, then the added cores would help.

Change the 240mm rad from the DS branded to the Corsair H115i for its full warranty.

In Recovery Tools select the CD option. If your drive dies you'll want the CD to boot to for install.

You didn't select any internal lighting. It's a personal thing, but for me, with the cases large window, I'd pick some lighting to show it off.

Hope this helps.
