waste = stuff you will never notice any performance gain from.

ok got your res, sli 580 is more then you need for that res, the extra vram is not needed.

your room temp is an issue, whether you go with air cooling or lc, at the end both use fans to blow air in order to cool things down, on air fans blow air on heat sink to cool things down, on LC fans blow on rads to cool things down, if your room temp is 80f and higher, the fans are blowing hot air to cool things down, and as you can imagine hot air is not gonna help cool anything down.

on top of that the a70 and noctua are king in performance till you get to stage 4, so the cooler you have chosen is an inferior one to begin with.

so long story short its better that you try and bring the room temp down to or below 75f, otherwise heat is going to be a big issue.

as for your build, that whole build is the old platform and for gaming you can spend much less and get more performance from the 2600k, also are you planing on going tri sli with this system in the future?

No not planning on going tri sli with that. 2x gpu should be fine for a solid performance for bf3 and the room tempature issue is not solvable because it's a apartment and I can't do anything about that.. Isn't liquid cooling going to help In that case?? Can u suggest me a solid build with sli 580s ?? I'm not very experienced when it comes to building pcs... :S

As I mentioned in my previous post, lc (liquid cooling) has fans blowing on the radiator to help with heat exchange, and blowing hot air is not going to help, your pc will overheat, you can get a mobile ac system that sits at your window, otherwise your pc is going to overheat, you also have to think about even if we could cool the cpu and gpu, what about the mobo, ram, psu, hdds, all the other components are gonna be overheating also.

I can build you a sli pc sure, but I don't think it will run for too long at those room temps, I mean at 90f your pc will overheat in 30 minutes and after a couple of times of your psu overheating and getting sudden system shutdowns because of it, the psu itself will go bad.

also since you said you already have a 580, I will make a sli 580 for system for you but for your res sli 570 1.5GB is all you need, you won't be able to tell the difference between sli 570 and 580 at that res, just fyi.

below system is with 580 overclocked version because that was the only choice, we don't recommend oced gpus, so call DS and request a non oced 580 3GB instead of the one in the config:

I also wanted to know about the minus zero cooling?? Does that will help in any case?? Get it for 2 gpus and CPU.? I don't know how to fight the heating issue it's just California man... Apartment complex im on the top floor witch makes it even hotter and I'm not even close to a window for a mobile ac lol. Also does the OCing from digital storm make a difference I seen u never choosen the option it's for free lol..and I won't need so much storage units 1 is enough I will wipe my old one clean and use that one swell probably..

@MaxFactor,

Thank you for choosing Digital Storm. You don't really need our Sub-Zero cooling to be able to enjoy a high-performance system. Having a room temp of 100F seems really up there, I would recommend staying away from overclocking as overclocking increases heat on the hardware (something you are trying to reduce as much as possible).

Air cooling is great, but, to maximize the cooling in your system, you should consider our liquid cooling system for the CPU and video cards. Yes, it will still run warm due to your room temperatures, but, it's more effective than air cooling and will do a better job of wicking away the heat from the CPU and video cards.

liquid cooling is the way to go im sure also the hard drive options that DST4ME recommended will ensure the speedyness of games and such.  the lack of moving parts in the maindrive will really help.

MAX look at my system in my sig, I have a custom lc system that has performance way above DS's lc, tho LC does better cooling yes, in your room temp that does not mean much.

the config you posted is not better then mine nor will it perform better then mine, the 2000mhz ram is pointless, the 1200w psu is pointless, there killer card, oc on gpus, and os boost, upgraded fans, are all pointless.

all of those things I names will bring your zero performance again, and by that I mean I can come in the middle of the night take those out and replace them with the parts in my config and you would never know that.

also I like to add that your lc system will be a single 120mm rad for cpu and dual 240mm rad for gpus.

I have a triple 360mm rad for cpu/mobo and a triple 420mm rad for the gpus, once my room temps hits 80f, if the pc is under load, it will over heat within an hour and shutdown if I let it keep going, so I have warned you that a pc with lc or not is going to over heat at 100f room temp, there is nothing one can do run a pc in a hot room other then bringing down the room temp.

so obviously i dont got much choice...gimme a setup and tell me why and how so...i wanna learn buddy...as i said before im not very experienced with building PCs lol i can bring down the room tempature atleast to 75-85 but more is not in unless i let the AC run in here like crazy witch means a higher electricity bill lol

I gave you 2 setups couple of posts up, if you don't see it in those builds its because it won't make a difference.

if you are looking for details on a particular part let me know.

the oc on gpus for example is very mild, what does that mean? it means after the oc on gpus, you might gain 1 fps, and lot of heat, so its not worth it, specially in your case where you are trying to fight heat.

as for the ac unit, they have ones that you close the window on or ones that have a little heat exhuast that you close the window on.

the "minus zero cooling" or tec, is only for the cpu, and again:

you also have to think about even if we could cool the cpu and gpu, what about the mobo, ram, psu, hdds, all the other components are gonna be overheating also.

I would say if we did keep your cpu and gpu some cool, at 90f or higher the psu would overheat.

i can bring down my room tempature atlest down to 75-85 if i let the AC run and maybe look into some other choices for a new AC maybe even lower...

so tell me about the killer2100 does that effect the internet performance for gaming at all??

secondly with the HAF X how many fans should i install in order to keep my pc as low as possible? if my room temp stays at 75-80F

if room temp is at 75f or below, the air cooled system I posted will have great temps, no other fans needed tho the haf x has a spot on top for another 200mm fan, if you can find that, I would add that for better air flow.

if you go to build the air cooled system make sure you use my config, don't go to blackops and build a system with haf x cause the price will endup higher them my config.

the killer card's difference is like a needle in a haystack, you will never notice any performance gain from it.

again the fan upgrade is loud, it will not replace all your fans, keep in mind that the hafx comes with a red led fan upfront that does not get changed with fan upgrade.

if you want lighting either spend extra and change all the 200mm fans to blue led (custom request) or just use more blue lights, but don't go with fan upgrade.

also where is your hdd2?

so you want to get loud fans then put a Noise Suppression Package on it? both are waste of money.

as I said it before, if you don't see it in my config, its a waste of money.

OS boost will give you zero gains in apps and games, IMHO pointless, os boost helped back in xp days when we have 1GB of ram.

you need to send your gpu to DS

Digital Storm® Headquarters
448 Kato Terrace
Fremont, California 94539

but when you put in the order make sure you mention you sending the psu and etc.

you can call and order it or do it online.

Its up to you, try calling them, if you can't get a hold of them, you can still order online today so that you get the discount, and then email and leave them a message to contact you for special instructions before they start your build, that way, hopefully tomorrow you get a call and can give them the details and get a final price too. If you don't hear from them tomorrow mid day, then call them yourself.

hdmi and dvi are the same, hdmi is an interface, not a screen.

hdmi = High-Definition Multimedia Interface

it is how data travels from your pc to the monitor/tv.

using dvi and hdmi are the same from a video point of view.

Most important thing about a monitor is its panel, right now there are 2 major ones, TN and IPS, IPS has superior picture quality/clarity.

so if you want a good monitor you want an ips panel monitor.

here are some:

Dell UltraSharp u2312

Dell UltraSharp U2410M

Dell UltraSharp U3011 30"

isnt the response time important aswell..the 30inch has a 7ms response time. my samsung right now has 5ms  wouldnt that make the game more slower...not that i would notice it lol

Response time and contrast ratio are bs number put out to fool the consumer, there is no real way of measuring response time, the closest to it would be white to white which will put forth and very big number, so the manufacturers use black to black (btb) or grey to grey (gtg) cause they put a smaller number but don't mean anything, on top of that there are a few different ways of doing it that will bring different results, so everybody will use the one that gave them the smallest number so you can't even compare one monitor to the other, cause you don't know what test was used, but even if you did, btb or gtg don't mean anything, contrast ratio is pretty much the same deal, bs number.
