I am looking for a good 5.1 surround sound speaker set for gaming. Anyone have any ideas?

Seems a majority of folks mention the Logitech Surround Sound Speaker System Z906 and recommend it

I second ArkansasWoman777's suggestion in that case. Its really good for the price for a monitor.

If you need any more inspiration Asangard... Last year I upgraded my old Razer Makko 3.1 system to the Logitech Z906 and I am very pleased with the near-field audio performance and functionality for the price point.

Here's my current set up with the speakers on the desktop. Woofer is under the desk. I intend to hang them around the room in true surround after I finish the room.

Hey bprat22! I'm also looking at a monitor upgrade later this year as well. FYI the HOTAS is under the desk which I pull out for flight simming. apologies for the dim pic.

I can't make out the HOTAS. ??   I have the older Thrustmaster Cougar with peddles and TrackIR.   Haven't done much Falcon or A10 lately. A little DCS Huey.   

I see your TrackIR sitting there waiting.   Once ya go TrackIR you can't go back.

I have a BOSE speaker setup on my CUBE and love them(was actually surprised).
