x2 570's beat 1 580 by a large margin. Here are benchmarks of the two, I will link to the page for Metro 2033 for both set ups as it's the most graphics intense game on the market right now.

570 SLI Review

580 Review

The GTX 580 comes in at 33fps on max settings and the GTX 570 1.2GB x2 SLI comes in at 54fps on max settings. That's an increase of over 60%. However it's strongly recommended by myself and other users here to go with the 2.5GB version of the 570 and not the 1.2GB. The additional VRAM does help, especially in top games like BF3, Arkham City and Metro 2033.

For the most part the 580 is a waste of money, just like the 7970 and 7950 are a waste of money. Their performance for their price just is not there. There is no game on the market that the 580 can play that the 570 2.5GB can't play.

They are not bad cards but they simply do not provide a level of performance that justifies their high price tags compared to other cards. The only time the 580 will make a difference is in an ultra high-end, triple monitor 3D surround set up when you need every last little bit of power you can.

Crysis, like Metro, has resource requirements that are way beyond other games. Crysis Warehead was released in 2008, 2 years before the 500 series was released, and it still requires x2 570's in SLI in order to max it out.

Guru did not benchmark Crysis 2 on those cards so I'm not sure but I'll look for other benchmarks when I get the chance.

Yeah, and I'm not cheating with a university intranet connection like some people do all the time. Another forum I'm on started posting their connection speeds after I did but they all tested it on a T3 connection at their school's.

I'm also hurt by the fact that the local testing server for me sucks so I have to use one all the way in LA. If the testing server here in Vegas didn't suck I'd have a much better upload speed.

I would expect that they would send it...I THINK they come with the card. I plan on using my 580 for a while and adding a second one down the road when they are cheaper. I only need one now, as I only play MMOs (but I may try out a few other types of games now that I am getting a new rig). MMOs just don't have the need for TOO much horsepower.

Lots of times you have to go through the mobo manfacturer for 4-way bridges since a lot of times smaller bridges are just piggy-backed. Here is a 4-way bridge from EVGA.
