Hey Guys, Just went to the Nvidia set to check for updates for the GTX570and saw they had some updates. They had WHQL. WHQL certified and beta. What is the differents between them. Confused I have auto update, so shouldn't they already have been updated. There is so much I don't know and am trying to learn. Big%20Smile

Beta's have code for newer games like BF3 (Testing Pretty Much) as well as tweaks found needed from ealier versions.

 
but make sure you use custom intall and check the last box .
 
 
 
[x] Install clean copy
 
 
 
or you may end up with freezes or poor performance. Especially if you go back n forth alot on drivers. Beta to WHQL and Back without proper clean install.

Dont use beta, just install update if you need it.

Hey Guys, I wasn't to sure about the beta. My gpu's are up to date, I have it set to auto update. There is so much stuff out there for me to keep up with and I am glad of the support from everybody. Big%20Smile Thanks again.

it just tells you about updates it wont actually auto-update the drivers for you. They did however add auto-updating for sli profiles. I would never recommend beta drivers but in this case it has updates for bf3 and rage in it so its not a bad idea if your playing those games. Obviously once new wqhl drivers come out update to those.

pos, I updated to 285.38 beta driver for BF3 Beta testing and had zero problems.
I did see a little gain in fps, but not earth-shattering.  You'll probably see more gain than me.
You wouldn't want auto updates on drivers anyways.  It's nice to pick what you want when you want.
