So I was just reading an article from Maximum Pc's magazine about a HTPC and it stated that there are only 3 gpu's that can actually run 3D Blu-Ray  it was the Nvidia GTS 240, GTX 470, and the 480.  This seemed quite odd, because from what I understood the ATI Radeon 5870 was capable of doing this, and since I'm about to invest in a 3D TV it worried me a bit.  But, I believe I'm right when I say the 5870 is capable of playing 3D Blu-ray, am I lol?

Haha good.  I was thinking about that lol, but it just shows how misinformed they are to pick Nvidia over Ati for their so called awesome Home Theatre PC.

HTPC is one of ATI's stong points... you also can't bit stream LPCM with Nvidia, defeats the whole purpose of a HTPC...
Back when I upgraded to BluRay, I noticed that yes, the Image quality is a huge difference, but the sound is just as big or bigger improvement..

Lol, yeah idk why those guys would seriously pick Nvidia over Ati.  I saw the post in the forums about it being superior for media.  What makes it worse is that they claimed that Nvidia's cards were the only that could view Blu-ray 3d, I knew it couldn't be right, but I also believed the guys should know what they're talking about.  I guess not.. Haha
