Hi,I'm looking at the 660 ti and i just want to know if i got the overclocking, would it be a modest overclock or would it really push the card to the limit.P.S I'm having an h100 put in so cooling isn't an issue

Hi Brud2000. OC'ing the graphics card generally speaking might get you a 5-10% performance improvement. Expect OC'd GPU temps to go higher while at load.   The H100 will help keep your CPU cool, but airflow in what case you choose, and what fans or other cooling you have on your graphics card area of the case will determine what that card can ultimately do.

Close but not better than a GTX 670. See this comparison review from Anand Tech....

Hi Brud2000.     Good idea going with the H100. Gives you control of the fans. An even better idea is to go with the new H100i for about $20 extra.   It has better tubing, fans and software controlled fan profiles with Corsair link.   Makes monitoring a breeze.

Why can't you cpu oc with a 670?  Is it the system you picked?

The 670 will always give better gaming than a 660ti with some games , regardless of clock speed, because the 660Ti has 25% less memory units, texture mapping units, meaning its smaller memory buss width will take longer to render heavy scenes in certain games.  In alot of games there will be little difference.

The 660Ti has memory buss of 192 bit vs 670's 256 bit buss.

The 660Ti has 24 rendering units vs  the  670's 32.

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/647?vs=598    This shows some comparison.  Big difference with some and very little with others.

They are both very nice cards.

I know you posted before and I don't remember, so what config are you looking at and what games and monitor size/resolution do you have?

Have you looked at the ODE 1?  $1499.  It has the gtx 670 and the cpu is overclocked.  And you don't need the H100.

Edit.   The 650D and the ODE's 600T both have the same cooling and are internally, almost the same.

If it being about money makes you a terrible person, then I'm down right horrible. Hahaha
