680 2gb sli vs 4gb sli

Well as the title says. Im thinking i might be able to save myself some money on this build. ATM im running a 27in dell Ultrasharp at 1920x1200. Down the road i plan on either going with 2 more of these monitors or grabbing 1 ultrawide monitor and using this 27inch as an extra monitor, not for gaming on just other misc. Now i want to be able to run c3, bf3, and upcoming titles at max settings at 60fps, i nearly do now with my 6970s in xfire, however im switching to nvidia because im tired of AMD's lackluster service.

now for what im doing , and for what im planning to do, do i NEED the 4gb cards or can i make it with the 2gb cards?

or mabe 1 titan? instead of the 2gb cards,,, no clu really.

Right now 4 gb vram isn't needed except with surround and higher res monitors. But, Skyrim is an exception with alot of texture mods.    Will you need it in a year or two?    Not sure. I tend to think when 4gb vram on a single monitor is needed you'll also need newer cards that can handle the graphics.

Tru. That and I can't justify myself paying an extra 400 bucks on cards for 1 game when the regular 2gb cards in sli will already blow it away

Or until fallout 4 comes out and even more HD texture mods come out for it lol. I mean you can easily fill 6gb of vram on skyrim with 15 texture mods at the moment.

Only 2% - 5% of games on the market may need more then 4GB of vram on 1080p
