Which would you guys recommend?
theNvidia 780i Core 2 Quad (Chipset: nforce 780i Sli) with the 9800 GTX 512MB or the Asus Rampage Formula (Chipset: Intel X48) that supports crossfire with 2x crossfire Dual ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB for an extra $200 dollars |

Without even looking at benchmarks, I can tell you that two 4850's should crush a single 9800 GTX (and im a NVIDIA fanboy). If money isn't an issue, I'd go with the extra power at GPU. |

AFAIK, X48 does not support DDR3. So if you want to get DDR3, Nforce is the way to go.

depends on their driver support. I think one of the ATI fanboys could answer that question better than me, but issues with Crossfire isn't Vista's fault. |
