I'm hearing some crazy good things about this kid; apparently it's actually better than the GTS, only a little bit inferior to the GTX, and in SLI, blows past the GTX for the same price.
Thoughts?

Yep, it should be a good overclocker, too. Their heat output is way below a GTX. In fact, it's so much so that some manufacturers are going to try releasing passive cooled cards (heatsink only).

Yeah...starting to wonder if perhaps in the future, instead of buying a second GTX for SLI, to instead buy a pair of GT's, solely for the considerably lowered heat output.
Goshdarnit :)
I wonder if this would be covered by the upgrade policy nVidia has...

If you have a single GTX now it doesn't seem like you should need to upgrade to either SLI GTXs or SLI GTs anytime soon. Why not just wait for the 9-series card whenever it is released - by the time you need to upgrade it should be a bit cheaper than at launch - and just put one of those in.
Chances are it will blow away anything on the table currently.. Chris |

Everything I've read and all the comments about this card make it look very promising and a perfect set-up for a midrange card. I just hope it's not too good to be true.

Here's a thorough review by Tom's Hardware
Any ideas on when DSO will begin offering these cards?

Anyone know how well 1 and 2 of these will fit in the PRO case?

Smaller than a GTX, which can be SLI'd into the Pro case, so decently well I'd imagine.

That is good news! I will probably get a system in the coming weeks. Hope the 8800GT's aren't backlogged
