Is it worth getting? That is a great deal but the new 8800gts' will be coming out December 11th.

Is this a good buy or not?

Thanks

Not worth it... it's the old 8800GTS with 96SP.

You could get a 8800GT for the same price or cheaper... And depending on resolution/settings you play at, you could even get a 3850 or 8800GT 256 for under $210

This is the SSC version. It actually has 112 stream processors. I was thinking of maybe getting this, then doing EVGA's setup up program in February with the new cards that may be coming out. I mean this 8800 GTS SSC is better than any 8800 GT out there for about the same price, if not cheaper.

They put 96+ because if you go SLI with a regular 8800 GTS, it'll run at 96 stream processors (the lower GTS of the two). But if you run 1 8800 GTS SSC or 2 SSC's in SLI then they will both run at 112 stream processors.

Yes, you're correct. The card has 112SP so it's worth it if you can't find a GT for cheaper or you are running at high resolutions/settings.

The model numbers are just confusing/stupid...
