I have a 2 year old DS computer with a 680SLI motherboard, I want to go from 4GB of memory to the Dominator 1066 memory. Each stick is 2 GB so I would have a total of four sticks which =8GB. Can my board handle this much memory?
Thanks,
Drumbanger

I'm not sure how much your board can handle, but another question is how much your OS can handle. Which version of Windows are you running?

Vista 32-bit only supports 4 GB of memory, so there is no point in adding more memory unless you upgrade to Vista 64-bit.

just use 2 sticks for a total 4GB.

8GB is pointless and waste, we could come in the middle of the night and remove 4GB of your 8GB and you would never know the difference.

That's not a bad idea... get the extra ram and I'll grab the 4GB that you won't miss... Star
