Currently I am running 8GB DDR3 and I am wondering will i notice a significant different in performance with 16GB?

It depends, performance in what regard? Gaming, productivity, etc.?
If its for gaming, then no, you will notice no difference at all. The only time you will notice a performance increase is if you are doing intensive productivity work such as rendering, HD video editing, large-scale image enhancement, etc. Edited by Tidgxor - 02 Mar 2012 at 7:56pm |

No problem, happy to help. Current gen games don't use anywhere near 16GB of RAM (including what Windows needs and anything else you have running). In fact, 6GB alone is plenty for current generation gaming. By the time we need 16GB for gaming yours and my systems will be antiques and new generations of RAM will have came out
