My Budget: $8k (PC only)
Expectations: Gaming only. 3 monitors no 3D. I want a system that can easily meet the demands of current games on the market and will be future proof for the next 4 years. Usage: Gaming - Crysis, Star Craft II, Skyrim, WoW After doing some research it doesn't seem like anything extremely innovative is in the works in terms of gaming PCs. The market is focused on catering to the mobile market versus performance leaps. So with nothing really to wait on I feel like it's the perfect time for a new PC as it will not be outdated for the next 3-4 years. So to experienced users out there. What set up would you suggest with a $8k budget to get the best performance with little/no bottlenecks? |

I've been looking at the Aventum set ups. Since I'll be spending a chuck of cash it wouldn't hurt to have a good looking and well made case.

I just ordered an aventum water cooled system that is complete overkill.
Many of the experienced users here will tell you what they told me, it is completely unnecessary for the gaming side of things. You could achieve gaming excellence with a 2-3k build. That said, if you do want to break benchmark records or do some serious heavy lifting, DS, certainly has the high end options. Just depends if your budget allows that. I found the honesty and candid responses I got refreshing. |

Hi burnout.... For an Aventum rig for that kind of money i suggest you call DS and work with them. We love helping with configs but the Aventum is a very unique, custom powerhouse with some features not posted yet. Like rigid copper tubing if you decided on a full water cooled rig.
That being said, for your budget I would start with Aventum level 1 and either go with tri-sli, 3x gtx 780 or Titan. Not sure your monitor resolutions, but if 1920 x1080 then tri sli 780 will play great. If 30" higher res. tri monitor, the Titan might be what you want. The tri sli Titan will reach your budget. If you want the graphic cards under water then more money or go with sli, 2x Titan. So many ways to go.

I agree with bprat22. For that kind of investment I would call DS and have a long optimization discussion. They will insure that you get the absolute best system for your price point !
