i've yet to see a reason to use more than a single 8800gts512
personally i find all of this 3 and 4 way sli stuff a bit over the top, the only reason you'd need more than a gts512 is for very high resolution gaming

I have a 27 inch monitor..so it kinda helps out in that department =P

Yeah. I have a 30 inch monitor and SLI seems to help to a limited extent.  Im not entirely convinved that it is worth the extra money and heating issues, but it does improve the fps a bit.
