hi iam just getting ready to order my DS pc with a 9800gtx 512mb and was planning on adding a second 9800gtx 512mb card later and now i read that nvidia is going to dump these cards?? so what are they replacing them with?? any help would be appriecated ?? before i order
and become really screwed .have been investigating a system for a month now and reading reviews. so please tell me what is up with the 9800 series..................thanks

Nvidia plans to replace them with new cards (rumored to be 9900GTX/GTS) in Q3 2008.
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star.

thanks for the reply...so is it worth waitng for the 9900?? and why a short life for the 9800? are they that bad ..all the reviews i read say they scream..so now my question what video card to get 8800, 9800 or wait??
here i thought by going with the 9800 i would have no problems upgrading 1 more card in the future
