i know the 480gtx blows it away, but in price there are the same!!!!!!
i wonder, if some one who had a 9800gx2 would bench it, and see if it beats the 480.
the sad thing is, they are priced the same, but if the X2 beats the 480 it would be crazy!!!!!!!!!!
im going to get a 9800gx2 becasuse if i fix it, he will sell it to me for 80 bucks, and i will sell my 9800gt with after marker cooler for 60 or 80.
i cnat bench however, i dont even know if my psu cna handle a 9800gx2.
dstime4me or some one
2 gigs of ddr2,
3-120mm fans
2 230 fans
2 core at 1.86
and thats it, well hdd and cd
irun my comp now with a 500w but, will the gx2 allow me to even boot?

its a no brainer, 480 has more power in a single card, has more vram.
that psu is not enough for a 9800x2, if it does boot, your psu will not live long. |

ya, my 500w had a 8 pin mobo and not a 8 pin pci conector, so i swaped it out for my moms 650w and it runs fine. i looked at that, the 9800gx2 is beaten by it, because the 480 beats like a 260, and a 260 and a gx2 are te4h same, some thing like that.
anyway im very cpu limited now. hopeing to sell soem stuff to get a phemon x6.

I just got a 480 with my brand new DS system, I have yet to encoutner any resistance. A friend of mine has the gx2 after comparison, the 480 is the obvious choice.

I am extremely impressed with the GTX480. I know people have complained about heat and noise issue but I have seen a nice improvement over my old 4870x2 in both categories. (Idle temp, not load)
