I am going to take a slightly different approach since I am not totally comfortable configuring a system myself and really would like to get some input from the people who know more about it here on these forums than I do. So I will spell out some factors that are important to me, and maybe I can get some suggested configurations where I can get the most bang for my buck.
1) I almost exclusively play WoW
2) I have a budget of $2,500 including tax
3) I have a 22in HansG monitor (no need for keyboard, mouse, monitor, or speakers. I always play with headphones)
4) I have no perphials that will be connected i.e. printer....I have another PC for those types of chores.
This will be a pure gaming machine, a different PC handles all of my work stuff.
Thanks in advance for the help.
BTW I am going to be ready to purchase in the next week or two at most. And can I pick up my machine when it is completed?

I cant see spending 2500 bucks on just a computer that will play WoW most the time. Maybe thats just me, but honestly you could get a WoW playing machine for probably a little over 1000, probably even less then that. I mean I have a 6800 gpu, 1GB ram and a 5 year old computer, and i can run WoW without any major slowdowns. And that was with the hardcore raiding days back when there were 40 people on the screen.
But hey..ill make a 2500 buck pure gaming machine though, that will handle any game you wanna throw at it...
Only low points i can see in it, is that your Power supply would limit you to a single GX2, you wouldnt be able to add a second one...but again, you mostly play WoW, and even a single GX2 is really overkill haha.
Plus with Vista Home 32 bit youd limit your performance boost you get should you choose to upgrade someday to 4GB of ram, as 32 bit will only see 2.8-3.5GB (depending on how many memory addresses are taking up by various goodies you have) 64bit gets around this, but its 15 bucks more.
Honestly though im kinda bias, this system i made reflects very closely to what im going to get, except im more then just a WoW player. The differences i have in mine are a Cosmos S case, 1000W power supply, 790i Mobo, 64 bit vista, and 2GB of 1333 DDR3 ram. It runs about 180 bucks more, but it fits my gamer profile better, plus it has A LOT of room to expand on myself, since i enjoy modifying my computer after i get it.

Thank you for the suggestions, It really does help and give me an better idea of where my money is best spent. And I dont mind going over a few bucks. BTW I do like to play other games and would like to have the ability to upgrade in the future, I am just stuck on WoW right now, and want to be sure that if with the new Lich King they decide to throw a new 40 man or ??? at us I will have a graphics card and setup that can handle it without a glitch. Again thansk for the suggestion I appreciate it.

I did have a question though. Neither of the two of you that posted configurations chose the 64 version of windows Vista, and neither of you chose the option of Tweaking the OS. I am wondering why you did not choose those options since they are such low cost. I dont know about everyone else, but I hate all of that extra stuff running in the background and not knowing why it is there or if it is even required.

Blizzard doesn't support 64 bit operating systems so you might run into some issues that they aren't able to help you with.

Ok I did not know that, so why not just go with XP? Is that because If I decide to upgrade to 4gb of Ram it is not supported? also Why no OS tweaks? |

The OS tweaks are super super easy to do on your own. The biggest advantage to tweaking them is for a faster boot-up. http://www.blackviper.com/ check it out Unlike overclocking, you cant damage your machine with this no matter what. If you loose functionality, just turn the services back on. |

Well, isn't that neato. Considering this is a US based business, she may have thought to "offer" that post translated. I think I'll go to a Russian website and post-up in English.

Well, then......... what in heck is this? Try as I may, I can not figure this out. Can someone even tell me what language this is? Man, Political Correctness I am not, so I say this is just gibberish and is probabaly being posted by the last Dell Support Staff person that I delt with years ago.
Let this be a lesson to you non DSO buyers. This is the kind of information you will get when calling Dell or any other major mass producer computer company.... Only, usually, you get it over the phone.

That sounds like a bot to me. We used to have some strange posts like that on my WoW guilds forums now and then. Cept they were in english, but they would do a greeting just like that, saying theyve been watching and registered, then plastered the website name.

When you translate it from Russian to English it converts. Maybe it's Bussian, or Rot.
