Topic: A little issue Posted: 07 Mar 2013 at 12:21pm |
Ok so i have a little issue, when i am playing my game it cuts out and goes back to windows saying Windows has discovered a problem with such and such file or something of the sort. Has anyone experienced this issue before and how can i fix it so it will not happen again? It happened a few times yesterday and once today, its kinda getting annoying.

Also, if they're Steam games, go to Steam....Library..... right click the game......select properties......select Local Files tab.......select Verify Games Cache Files and let it run. Might help. Worked for me a couple of times.
Good luck. |

One more thing to try before deleting and reinstalling game...... I' m not at my pc so the path might be wrong but try going to C:// Steam/Steamapps/account/TeamFortress/bins and delte the bins file. Then do the Verify Game Cache again in the game Properties.

ArkansasWoman777,
Also, if your system is overclocked, try removing the overclock to see if the issues go away. |

Yea as far as i know Verify Game Cache solved my problem...hopefully. I will play again tomorrow and see if i don't get the issue again.
On a good note my pc stayed nice and cool for the whole hour. My temps got around 43 which i don't think is bad. I just go by what it says on TMPIN0 so i guess i'm looking at the right thing Edited by ArkansasWoman777 - 07 Mar 2013 at 2:13pm |

screen shot of hwmonitor please if you have it open from the time you played games.
lol 43c load temp means you are either playing in your frig or not loading the pc at all or not looking at the right temp. Edited by DST4ME - 07 Mar 2013 at 4:02pm |

I don't know how to do a screen shot. Well the only temperatures that i notice that change is the thing under where it says Temperatures: TEMPIN0 its at 31 C' now but after i had played my game for an hour it went to 43 C'
So i don't know if i'm looking at the right thing or not. Edited by ArkansasWoman777 - 07 Mar 2013 at 4:12pm |

In hwmonitor, you want to look at core#0, core#1 thru 3 for the cpu temps. It'll show min, max and present temps. Unless your into thd 60's c then chances are the cpu is not under load. A simple check is to run Windows Experience Index with Hwmonitor open. Its not a very demanding stress test but will give you a good idea. Also check your gpu temp by dragging the window down in hwmonitor.

Strange. Its not showing properly, which does happen. Plus the vcore of 1.31 does show load. Try realtemp for core temps.

AW777 put your cursor and click on the window of realtemp, and then Press ALT+PRINT SCREEN, now open paint and paste in paint. viola, you got a screenshot, now save it to your desktop and then upload it here.

Just an FYI: If you have Windows 7 Home Premium or Higher your can use the Snipping Tool to capture screen shots.
Start / All Programs / Accessories If you don't see it listed: Start / Control Panel / Programs and Features Left Column Turn Windows Features On Or Off Scroll Down and place a check mark on Tablet PC Components Edited by JerryW - 07 Mar 2013 at 7:10pm |

ok now we need the the load to be at or close to 100% for like 30 min and then we need to see what max temps were.
in short keep realtemp open and put the cpu under load for 30min and then give us another screenshot of realtemp. |

Not sure what the cpu load was but the max temp of 60C is excellant.
If you run it again, look at the cpu load % above the temps while game is running and see if its at or close to 100%. That's where it really counts. Have fun.

Game playing puts stress on gpu not cpu, only a few games tax the cpu.
