Budget:
$3,000.00 Including Monitor, speakers, keyboard and mouse. Expectations: I would like this computer to last me for several years including upgrades from time to time. Usage: Playing games such as World of Warcaft, Starcraft II, Diablo 3, Elder Scrolls V, Fallout Franchise. I mainly want to be able to rock Elder Scrolls V at max settings around 60fps. I will be using a 1920x1080 samsung monitor. I realize the game isn't going to be released until November, so I do have a while before I need to make a purchase. I heard there are new processors coming out later in the year, but I don't know. Special Needs: I am a mac user at heart, but I want to make the move to PC. Yes, you read that right, I'm a mac user looking to buy a PC Desktop. Most gaming I've done has been on my Xbox 360 but I want to migrate to PC Gaming. I don't know what type of graphics cards to get or ram/processor/cooling system. I am a total PC noob. Thank you for your input it does mean a lot. Saved Ticket #: 530498 Specifications: Some of the stuff I chose because it sounded cool. I'm a sucker for 'cool.' Also, like I said, I'm a total PC noob. You can achieve the power of a $3000 iMac with a sub $2000 PC build, haha.
May want to wait a bit until Q4 this year for the better processors to release, yep, current top-dogs are the mainstream processors, haha, I can't wait to see Intel's true top-dog. |

Your config won't work, you can't sli 570 with a 750w psu, if you want sli ability then:
Here you go Ticket# 530592 --- $2600 (To see this build click here) Copy of Specifications: Chassis Model: Special Deal Hot Seller - Cooler Master 942 HAF X Exterior Finish: - Standard Factory Finish Trim Accents: - Standard Factory Finish Processor: Intel Core i7 2600K 3.40GHz (Unlocked CPU for Extreme Overclocking) (Quad Core) Motherboard: ASUS P8P67 Deluxe (Intel P67 Chipset) (New & Improved B3 Revision Without SATA 3G Issue) System Memory: 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Digital Storm Certified Performance Series (Highly Recommended) (Hand Tested) Power Supply: 1000W Corsair (Dual/Triple/Quad SLI Compatible) Expansion Bay: - No Thanks Hard Drive Set 1: Operating System: 1x (120GB Solid State (By: Intel) (Model: 320 Series SSDSA2CW120G3K5) Set 1 Raid Options: - No Thanks Hard Drive Set 2: Multimedia\Data: 1x (1TB Western Digital Caviar (7200 RPM) (64MB Cache) (Model: Black Edition WD1002FAEX) Hard Drive Set 3: Backup\Misc.: - No Thanks Optical Drive 1: DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 24x / CD-Writer 48x) Optical Drive 2: - No Thanks Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections) Video Card: 1x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 1.2GB (Includes PhysX Technology) Add-on Card: - No Thanks Sound Card: Creative Labs X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional Extreme Cooling: AIR: Stage 1: Noctua NH-U12P SE Dual 120mm Fans High Performance Cooler H20 Tube Color:- Not Applicable, I do not have a FrostChill or Sub-Zero LCS Cooling System Selected Chassis Airflow: Standard Factory Chassis Fans Internal Lighting: Internal Chassis Lighting System (Red) Enhancements: - No Thanks Chassis Mods: - No Thanks Noise Reduction: - No Thanks Boost Processor: Stage 1: Overclock CPU 4.0GHz to 4.4GHz Boost Video Card: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my video card(s) Boost Memory: Memory Fan Kit Only (Does not include memory overclocking service) Boost OS: - No Thanks, Please do not tweak the services on the operating system Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-Bit Edition) Recovery Tools: Windows Recovery Toolkit (Bundled with Windows 7 CD) Virus Protection: - No Thanks Office: - No Thanks Benchmarking: - No Thanks Install/Test Game: - No Thanks Display: - No Thanks Surge Shield: - No Thanks Speakers: - No Thanks Keyboard: - No Thanks Mouse: - No Thanks External Storage: - No Thanks Exclusive T-Shirt: - No Thanks Priority Build: - No Thanks, Ship Within 5-15 Business Days After Order Is Successful Ask DS specifically for this fan to be added to the top, so you endup with 4 x 200mm fans: haf 200mm non led fan Now you don't need LC so instead you got a ssd, the add setup is suppose to be like this: HDD1 = fast small drive: os/apps/games HDD2 = regular large drive: media/personal/work file storage This makes it easier to manage your OS drive, clone/scan/etc. this system has one 570, but can support 2 if needed, get it, and use it, if you see you need another one than drop it in, I'm not sure if any of the games you mentioned use/need sli, games like wow have no need for it and won't utilize it. If you still want LC we can add that in, let me know. |

I’ve been a Mac user since the very beginning. Anyway, I used windows xp pro in the military but aside from that I didn’t have much use for it. Then along came W7 and I finally started to take Bill Gates seriously. Also, I now find that gaming systems slam my MacPro in the dust. I’m running two NEC PA271 displays and they actually look better when I boot into windows on the Mac.
In fact, I’m trying to configure my own DS as well. Guys like you and me are use to $3k Mac machines as a way of life, but it certainly goes a lot further with a pc than on the Mac! |
