Budget : $1700 MAX

Expectations:
Good overall computer where main upgrades in the next few years would be limited to GPU and/or Memory.

Usage:
Standard college use (word, excel, web ) and games such as Starcraft 2, Civilization 5, Shogun Total War 2 , and Old Republic or Guild Wars 2. Monitor will be 23 inch 1900 x 1080 or along those lines.

Special Needs:
Nothing really, don't know much about Motherboards or Cooling (Liquid, Air, etc)

I was also looking at the ODE Level 1, but i feel like without going overboard can be ready for upgrades when they come, thus the 6950 (since new cards will be out in the next 6 months or so )

Thanks all,

Hi NS5190,

DST4ME is right. The ODE-1 has a better CPU, Video Card and CPU cooler.

Thanks for the input guys. My only question I suppose is how upgrade-able is the Corsair 600t that the ODE comes with ? Is it a mid tower in name only ?

Also how hard is it to swap the Power Supply ? I feel that with the new cards coming to the market I will need to upgrade somewhat but probably down the road a bit.

Lastly does anyone have a GTX 570 that could give me some performance on Shogun Total War 2 ? I want to max that out as I have never been able to play a Total War maxed , so I am eagerly awaiting the ability to do so !!

Thanks again,
