Hi,
I been here for a month and still i cant decide which will i buy. So im here to get some advice to you guys, a gaming Dekstop or a gaming Laptop.I was thinking of buying a gaming laptop XM17 lvl 3, first its more cheaper than ODE lvl 3 and since its a laptop i can bring it anywhere. But im worried about its cooling system, can it take the heat for extreme gaming because usally when i dont have work i do not turn off my pc & laptop for 3 days so can it withstand the heat? For the gaming Desktop i want an ODE lvl 3, i don't have question for that, when i first time see it all i can say is "Wow" but when i saw the price "WTF".If my mother lend me her credit card i would have no problem buying ODE lvl 3 & stop saying that it just a scam. And about the shipping can it be deliver to middle east in Abu Dhabi? Does anyone know how much it will cost for shipping and how long it will takes be delivered? Thanks!! |

you would need to get a rate for shipping from digital storm.
As far as your choice. In my opinion 17"+ laptops are more of a desktop replacement and really always need to be plugged in. I would sooner just buy a desktop than a 17" laptop since the laptop will be huge/heavy/super power hungry. |

if i will purchase a laptop? am i correct? For the laptop,is all laptop in DS really heavy? Or only the XM17? Is it better to buy a gaming desktop than laptop? |

For your location and a desktop you would need to get a crate that would be $200 on its own, then you add the shipping cost to your location which you have to ask DS and I imagine is going to cost a good amount. For a laptop it should be much less.
keep in mind that laptops will over heat after a few hours, thats just the nature of laptops and desktop will have much more power, so my vote is for desktop, but What is the native resolution of the monitor you gonna be gaming at with a desktop? also DS does not make their own laptops. The gaming desktop will be cheaper and more powerful/faster, so if you can deal with not being able to take it around with you, definitely desktop, in terms of shipping you'd have to call for international rates and such cause it only shows rates for US and Candada when ordering online

Shipping internationally is quite expensive, as it's not just the shipping rate, but also duties, customs, taxes, etc which can make the extra cost $500-$700 on top of the price of a system.

And for the shipping 200$ for the crates and i will still pay some shipping fee for DS?Correct? Thanks for the advice guys!! |

Alex expalined the shipping in general for exact quote you need to contact them direclty.
its not that the laptop will fry its components, its that all laptops are a small unit, you put cpu/gpu inside a small area like a laptop after 2 hours of being under full load they will get hot, they are in a little area what do you expect. |

The shipping itself is $200-$300 usually, but the rest of the costs are import/duty/customs etc which are really not shipping costs but, costs you would pay when you import the package into your country. We're able to quote you and charge you all of those costs beforehand, this way, you don't get any surprises later when you go pickup the computer.
Any desktop and even laptop will still cost around $500-$700 and sometimes even more.
