I have been doing a large amount of homework in order to build a good
computer at an affordable price. In the department of graphics I'm
leaning toward the 9800gt in a SLI configuration since the 9800gt is
only $109 and offers the best performance at its price range. I
was told in an earlier post that I could request DigitalStorm to use
EVGA GPUs in my build. EVGA has two different models of the 9800. One
is a single slot card and the other is a dual slot card. The reviews I
have read have told me that the single slot 9800gt runs very hot and if
you have two that are overclocked it can cause problems so I would like
the dual slot 9800gt in my computer. Does anyone know if DigitalStorm
uses the single slot GPU and if they do is it possible to request the
dual slot without additional charge?

You're comparing an AR model to a TR model =\ A 9800gt dual slot is about ~$15 more expensive than a single slot if you would compare AR to AR.
And fyi, AR comes with lifetime warranty upon registration while TR is only two years. TR also gets less goodies in the retail box. I think Digital Storm doesn't do rebates and without rebates, a Radeon HD4830 is a better buy. But best to call them and ask yourself. |

Sorry, I'm somewhat new to this and I have never seen the terms AR and TR can you please explain what they mean?
I don't think going with HD4830 is an option for me since I'm thinking about getting a 780i based mother board. Which as far as know does not support CrossFire. |

That is correct Soliderpp, 780i momobo does not support crossfire, it supports sli.
