So I graduate this year! & I plan on going into the Computer engineering field more specifically hardware. I have a some questions for anyone that is in the computer hardware engineering field. I would like to be as far ahead of my class mates as possible
Questions I want to have answered: What are some of the best jobs in hardware engineering ? What type of hardware engineers work on processors? What type of hardware engineers work with medical technology? Should I go for my masters in hardware engineering? I want to start on the management side of the technology field what degrees would help me get at the top of management after college ? Are there any classes that I could watch for free to get ahead in my courses ? Provide link What are important coding languages I must learn ? that I can start on now Are there any math courses that will prep me for the field? Any books that I could read on a daily basses regarding the field ? Side note: I might sound crazy but I don’t look t the world of technology the same as your regular person. Some people have dreams of finding a good job and that’s it... i want to leave a mark on the tech industry for a life time. I literally write down ideas on some of the big problems in the world and wonder is there tech out there that could solve them. You might see a square but I see a circle. Would love for somebody in the field to be my mentor! |

I took a look at the University of Texas at Austin's requirements for Computer Science and Computer Engineering. Entering freshmen should have a background in mathematics thru Pre-Calculus, high school chemistry, and a high level programming language such as C, C++, Python or Java. In college, as a freshman you will take Calculus I and II, as well as calculus based physics, and Linear Algebra.
