Ok, I'm no computer genius but i think they set it up like that for a couple reasons and I'm sure i'll be corrected if I'm wrong, so please understand this is my speculations. Ok once your os is running its running and shouldnt need larg flash updates, such as like in a game when you change zone and your hard drive needs to be accessed for a flash to that zone. Raid 0 set ups do show as only one drive that set up should show as like 138 gig raid zero stripe (at least thats how mine shows up). He will want to put his games on that raid 0 stripe, load times to intsances etc will be blazing fast, I'm almost always the first person to enter a raid zone in a game and personally love raid 0. So my speculation is they put the os on because it doesnt need to be drawn on in totally new fresh ways constantly. If this isnt correct let me know too :).

the difference is hardly that substantial, and for eating half of your HD space, certainly not worth it in my opinion.
the idea behind raid is for people who do a dramatic amount of moving large amounts of information ie movie editing

I would prolly leave it as in right now, and use the raid 0 for his games. If the raid failes he loses only installed games, not his OS and data.

I got a 250gb 7200 WD right now, will be buying a velicoraptor for my games and OS, will use other drive for something, dunno yet. The idea behind a gaming rig is small fast drives, I wount have a anti virus on it either, unless you dont have another pc for basic computing needs.
