I wrote a 50 page paper on measurments of the human eye being able to see past so many frame's per second.  Everything that you read about from scientist and including me is all theory based.  to make it short, I will just say this.

Notice that when you play Madden on Xbox360 or a racing game that is running at a steady 60 frames per second.  Look at someone next to you and watch there movements very closely, notice how smooth the game is compared to the real world.  We notice it because we are not use to it.  when you are looking at the average person walking, it is actually less then that 60FPS that you see in the game.   I don't believe it's by much but it is less in my theory.  However, people can still see past the frame rates our eye's normally adjust to, but when you go past what our eye's are normally adjusted  to, you tend to notice a difference.

The frames per second in a video game are by far different then if you were to match 60fps (video game) to 50fps (real world movments).  Our brain puts things together to help smooth it out obviously.  This study is the exact same as when I posted this.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
example:

cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I wsa rdanieg. hte phaonmneal pweor fo eht hmuan mnid, aoccdrnig ot a rscheearch ta Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it dseno't mtaetr in waht oerdr the ltteres in a wrod are, the olny iproamtnt tihng is taht the frsit and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it whotuit a pboerlm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Azanmig huh? yaeh and I awlyas tghuhot slpeling was ipmorantt!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

^^ So the human eye doesn't read every letter by itself, but the word as a whole, right?  Your brain does the exact same thing with movements, because of that you will have a different problem to solve and research.  I personally say the human eye as of RIGHT NOW, can't see past the 72FPS, you definitly  can see it but for some people it will look wierd.  This is because everybodies brain functions the kind of the same but there is differences when it comes to eye sight.   As I said before the FPS in a game is by far different if your going to match that into "real world frame rates".

So basically while you can actually see, lets say 120FPS, it's not going to make a difference if it's a PERFECTLY steady 55, 60, 70, 80fps.   In my study that I did in school, I was more into detail.  I just don't want to go into so much detail because it will be at LEAST 3 pages of the forums, and since I already went into that hell, I don't want to do it again. lol

Since this is a "Theory" it definitly is not a fact, since there are no facts on this matter.

This also goes into Ghosting.  a monitor that has 7ms might cause ghosting, everybody I believe can see ghosting from a monitor.  I don't think a person that can see ghosting while another person can't see the exact same ghosting that the other person saw, one of them either has bad eye sight or they weren't paying attention.

Move your hand really fast and try to follow it.  you obviously see ghosting with your own eye's in a real movement.  If you were to compare that with a computer monitor running at 7ms or 8ms, that is about what brain see's in the REAL world maybe 6ms.  That is if you compared those two.

ROFL, this is kind of complicated to explain really.  What I am trying to say is that you can't really match up Television/games frame rates to a human brains frame rate.  They both calculate very differently.  This is why I believe there are so many theory's and no facts because they try to compare the two, when in all reality they are two COMPLETELY different things.

YES!!LOL   I wonder if we can overclock our brain "processers",  (speed readers).  However, our ram goes bad once he hit certain ages.  Some people have low quality ram.  LMAO!

Women also have a different encryption then us, that is why we never understand them. :)

How about passing some of that on over to Fondu to help him pass the time while he's waiting for his new rig? Cool
