So I'm rebuilding my Digital Storm rig after a bad rollback from W10.
The system is now stable with Falcon BMS running without issues. Sound is good, joystick is recognized and Thrustmaster external Multi Function Displays are working. As I fly online, I use Teamspeak to communicate with others and here lies the rub. I cannot get a successful voice test in Teamspeak. I have an A40 headset plugged into the front panel of a Create SB Recon 3D PCIe slot. There is sound in the headphones and if I unplug them, sound works in the computer external speakers. In windows control panel, playback is Speakers as default device. Recording is Digital-In (SB Recon3D PCIe) and What U Hear (SB Recon3D PCIe) both with green checks as default device. The microphone is shown as not plugged in. In Creative Trustudio I have headphones selected (this works both with the headphones or external speakers for sound) and in the Crystalvoice tab, the mike is shown as disconnected. I have the mike volume full up on the front control panel of the SB card. Obviously I am not sure what I'm missing and could use a third eye on this. Thanks in advance, Dukera |

More information - I unplugged the mike jack from the front of the SB I/O drive and plugged it into the back of the card - bingo, mike is connected and works in TeamSpeak.
What I don't understand is that prior to the rebuild, the entire headset and mike was plugged into the front I/O card and worked without any issues at all. So any thoughts on what I may need to do to get back to that would be welcome. Thanks, Dukera |

I don't do much with audio, but in the SB Control Panel , select Mixer I believe and see if the Front Panel box is available and select front panel for the Mic. Or, Front Aux if an I/O.
Edit... here's the link I had from awhile ago I'm getting the info from. http://support.creative.com/kb/ShowArticle.aspx?sid=102309 Hope this works. ![]() If still an issue, I would update the SB drivers for your device. Switching between OS can mess things up. Edited by bprat22 - 04 Dec 2015 at 8:19am |
