Hello there you wonderful enthusiast , I've been looking around for the best PC market and I've taken a like to what I'm seeing so I decided to ask some question for feedback.
For my future (after 3-4 years) build I decided to go with the Aventum II. Budget: [12K , could be higher if I'm to wait, up to 14K] Expectations: [Planning to go with 3 way SLI for 1440p monitors running games like Planetside 2 , Far Cry 3 and Skyrim , hopefully I'll have my way with that If I'm going Nvidia Surround] I'm also expecting excellent cooling so I'd go for the highest liquid cooling option available. Usage: [I do heavy video editing work and audio , I considered adding lots of harddrive but I'm waiting for prices to get lower for the SSD, I decided to go with 2x 4TB WD Blacks . a little bit of 3D showcasing module but not extensive enough to go for something like a high end workstation graphical unit. Audio wise if I'm going with the ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition motherboard then I don't need to go for an audio card.] Special Needs: [I want this future PC to last , really last, I'm an enthusiast with love for technology and having a PC that doesn't let it itself feel outdated would be great ] Saved Ticket #: [965865] Specifications: [Chassis Model: Special Deal Hot Seller - Black OPS Aventum II Exterior Finish: Pure White Matte Finish with Black Stand Trim Accents: - Not Available Processor: Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition 4960X 3.6GHz (Six-Core) (Extreme Performance) Motherboard: ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition X79 (Intel X79 Chipset) System Memory: 32GB DDR3 1866MHz Corsair Vengeance Pro (High-Performance) Power Supply: 1500W Silverstone (Dual/Triple/Quad SLI Compatible) (Recommended) Expansion Bay: Dual Solid State Hard Drive Hot Swap Bay Optical Drive: Blu-Ray Player/DVD Writer (Play Blu-Ray and Burn DVDs) (Slim Slot Loading Edition) Storage Set 1: 2x SSD (750GB Samsung 840 EVO) Storage Set 2: 2x Storage (4TB Western Digital - Black Edition) Storage Set 3: - No Thanks RAID Config: RAID 0: Striping: Performance, But No Data Fault Tolerance Protection (Requires 2 HDDs) RAID Card: - No Thanks Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections) Graphics Card(s): 3x SLI Triple (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3GB (Includes PhysX) Sound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio HPC Processor: - No Thanks Extreme Cooling: H20: HydroLux Copper: Digital Storm Copper Pipe Custom Cooling System (Video Cards + CPU + Chipset) H20 Tube Color:Red Tubing with High-Performance Fluid (UV Lighting Reactive) Chassis Fans: Upgrade All Fans to Corsair Airflow Performance Edition (Up to 6 Fans) Internal Lighting: Digital Storm RGB LED Lighting System (Requires Thermal Management Control Board & Software) Airflow Control: Digital Storm Thermal Management Control Board & Software Chassis Mods: Fan Blow-Holes: VREG/CPU & Graphics Card Area: Laser Cut and Mount a Side Window 140mm Fans Noise Reduction: Noise Suppression Package Stage 2 (Optimized Airflow & Fan Speeds with Noise Dampening Material) LaserMark: - No Thanks Boost Processor: Stage 2: Overclock CPU 4.5GHz to 4.8GHz (Requires High-End Motherboard Selection) Boost Graphics Card(s): Yes, Overclock the video card(s) as much as possible with complete stability Boost Memory: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my memory Boost OS: Yes, Disable and tweak all of the non-crucial services on the operating system Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Professional (64-Bit Edition) Recovery Tools: Windows Recovery Toolkit (Bundled with Windows CD) Virus Protection: - No Thanks Office: - No Thanks Game: - No Thanks Display: - No Thanks Surge Shield: - No Thanks Speakers: - No Thanks Keyboard: - No Thanks Mouse: - No Thanks Portable Gaming: - No Thanks Exclusive T-Shirt: - No Thanks Priority Build: - No Thanks, Ship Within 15-20 Business Days After Order Is Successfully Processed Warranty: Life-time Expert Care with 3 Year Limited Warranty (3 Year Labor & 1 Year Part Replacement)] Edited by Ginster - 16 May 2014 at 5:16am |

Oh yeah I forgot to ask , how efficient are the chassis mods and do I really need it if I'm going with high end liquid cooling ?

Hi Ginster.... like you kinda figured, you don't need the Chassis Mod. Not sure they would even do it with Aventum. Some config selections are generic across the various platforms.
Looks great and good luck.

With this high end of a build I am sure some will say why not? But, with the radiators pushing most of the heat out of the case, it strikes me as unnecessary.
The other thought is, if you aren't bursting at the seams for a new rig, it might be better to wait for Haswell-E. It is expected to be released in August. You will get a newer platform with DDR4 memory, USB 3.0 ports, more SATA 6Gbps ports and probably SATAe. |

Thanks dude , I'm interested in the possibility of the "Hailstorm II: Bottom Baseplate Mod (Cleaner Wiring Look & DS Logo Branding" but apparently they tagged it as something for the Hailstorm II. I'm not sure if that means they can actually do that to the Aventum II , if they did then I'll go for it . Can I apply that really exquisite rainbow finish that is shown as a thumbnail for the custom paint job ? and how much it'll cost me ? Whats the difference between the H20: HydroLux Copper: Digital Storm Copper Pipe and the LV5 liquid cooling ? Will I have control over every fan on the entire PC with the Digital Storm Thermal Management Control Board ? How strong is the packaging ? The thing is if I buy a PC from the U.S I'd have to first send it to a warehouse for organizing packages that deals with shipping and THEN tell the warehouse company to send it to my home address which in Saudi Arabia . So I'm little worried about bad packaging and protection , if something happened to my PC (i.e some parts went loose) while the warehouse inspect it , What should I do ?. If something happened between the point of the warehouse and my home (being shipped to where I am) what is my insurance ? The warehouse do have insurance covering if I so desire to choose it and it can cost a lot based on the package value , question is should I go for it just to be safe ? or there is no need because of how Digital Storm policy work. Finally : Is there anything I should know regarding where I live just to take caution ? Is there anything I could get an advantage of ? |

Don't think the Hailstorm Baseplate can be used with Aventum. It is nice though.
You can get pretty much any custom paint job but that is a conversation with them because of all the decisions. The Copper doesn't cool any better but is a 'looker'. That's the main reason for it.Not sure about every fan, but my guess is yes. The packaging is pretty darn good, For my much less impressive rig, it was the best I've ever seen. For your rig and especially going overseas, they'll recommend it go by freight, strapped to a pallet I believe or in a sturdy wooden crate. The other questions about insurance, warranty overseas, etc is best answered by them. They do stop by the forums every day or you can email/call them. Thats' a given anyways considering the Beast you're putting together. Let us know how it goes. ![]() . |

But I thought that by choosing copper there is a very unlikely chance it will leak let alone high cooling :o
But alas , thank you for your response bprat22 |
