I just have a couple of questions.

1)  Has anyone had any trouble with Crossfire not actually working with some games?  I've read where it was a problem with Cyrsis, World in Conflict, and one or two others.  But then I've read threads where people have just loved their HD3870's Xfire setups.

2)  I have selected Windows XP, because it's what I'm familiar with and I have heard horror stories of Vista and gaming.  Has Vista really been that bad or difficult on gamers?

I know I have 4GB of RAM selected, it's for if I decide to do a dual boot with 64-bit Vista.  I also know I have onboard audio selected, I have a Auzen Prelude X-Fi 7.1 sitting in a nice shiny new box on a shelf, just waiting for the new rig Big%20smile.

Thanks!

Bill Fitz

As I understand it, 64-bit vista is more for rendering and not so much for games.

I was hesitant in getting Vista at first, but I couldn't resist its directx 10 compatibility.

Vista isn't so bad on games, some older games you cannot play with vista, but not a lot.  Vista has a slight performance decrease in all games vs XP.. its nothing big though.

If i were you i'd go with the 4 year warranty if they still have an option.  That is a beast of a machine.
