I use mine with the rescue cd, basically I install acronis, make the rescue cd and then uninstall acronis and use the cd, it has worked on different pcs, but sometimes it don't.

not sure how the trail works, but I think they have one.

go here click on home/office then download and you be able to download the trial. I don't know its limitations tho.

Harleyman, Acronis True Image has saved my ass several times. I probably shouldn't say this too loud, but I bought one copy and installed it on all (seven?) of the family's computers, with no difficulties. Version 11.0, at least, had no install or CD copying restrictions. Good product..., good company.

If it's any consolation, the f'ing little brats never back up their machines anyway. Might as well not have bothered.

I agree, backing stuff up is annoying.. lol.

But, it is useful for formats and data that can't be replaced.

if you keep your os HDD clean and simple it will take you 20 minutes to clone the whole thing, once or twice a week, and it can go a long way.
