Over the last couple of days I was trying out NVIDIA's new Adaptive vsync technology. This is with the latest (something.42) WHQL driver on my new GTX 690.
My experience with it: Extreme screen tearing in nearly all my games. I'm running on normal again now. After a quick Google-search I found that a rather large amount of people are reporting the same issue. People posting on EVGA's website have received the answer that this is caused by changes in Framerate in the 0.1 f/s range, the GPU(s) perform when the vsync barrier is hit, due to the dynamic nature of the adaptive vsync. My question is: Have any of you already tried adaptive vsync out? With what results?

I can only assume due to it's new nature it has kinks to be worked out - however, if you get it figured out - do let me know. I'll be using that soon as well. |
