Happy Easter guys,

Im looking to add more memory, since skyrim is taking up to 86% of the 6 gigs i have now (running 38 add-ons) the game runs very smooth at max levels and graphics.

But before i do anything, If I remember correctly that when I had help overclocking my CPU they upped my memory to 100 mhz more. Does this go for all slots? or just the slots that had the memory?  I need to know if I can just add more memory to make it 12 gigs total? or do i have redo some BOIS setting that I dont know how to do it.

Hi police215.....I don't think adding more RAM will help Skyrim.   Skyrim if I read it right, maxes out with the latest patch at 4GB usage.  Any more than that for texture mods, etc would come from the graphic card's V-ram.

Memory is there to be used, and if your system is running like you said then save the money and time.   12GB ram is serious overkill for gaming, 8GB being all you need.
Some of the RAM being used might be from Win7 built in Superfetch caching info it thinks you might need.
