Hi I’d like to upgrade my Ram from 4gigs of Ram to 8 or 16 gigs & wondered will mess up my OC ‘ed I 7 860 sitting in a P 55 SLI MB, and if not are there any other problems I need to look out for after the upgrade?
Cheers, |

In the past, filling all the ram slots, from 2 sticks to 4 sticks could effect cpu overclock. It would put more load on the memory controller built into the cpu. No way to know until you try it.
Yo could just swap out your 2x2gb sticks for 2x4gb, leaving two slots not used as you have it now. It could work great with 4 sticks. A toss up. ![]() |

You'll have to redo your oc on your cpu though as it'll remove it.
