Hi everyone,
My current system has a Corsair 1050 Pro Silver PSU. It also has the Western Digital Black Caviar 1TB Hard drive and the Intel 180GB SSD. I received two Samsung Pro Series SSD's (each 256GB) and would like to add these to my system. My Asus motherboard has 4 SATA 6.0 ports and 4 SATA 3.0 ports so I should be able to plug all my SSD and HD into SATA 6.0 ports and put the DVD on the SATA 3.0 port. Does that sound like it would be ok? Is there any problem with using so many HD/SSD's on a system (two SSD will be used for games and one will have Windows 7 and smaller programs and the HD will be used mostly for storage). Before I go about installing these I wanted to see if anyone thought I had a problem doing this? Thanks |

The 1050hx psu will have no problem. Drives really don't suck up much juice. Rough figure is 5 watts per SSD and 10 watts HDD on max. And you rarely use all at once.
Good luck. |
