Adding SSD to an X15e?

Alright, so, sometime during the year I plan on buying myself an x15e gaming laptop from digital storm. Only problem is, it only has one hard drive bay. I don't want to get a HDD because I don't want it to fail and loose my OS/saved games. On the other hand, my SSD may be too small because I want to use this system for schoolwork and would need plenty of space for reports, projects, etc. what I need to know is if I were to buy this laptop, could I ask for a specially put in SSD or could I put one in myself after purchase. My config # is 781032 if needed. Thanks!

SSDs can fail as well, just as an fyi.

But DS generally tends to be pretty open to requests, though the charges vary dependent upon the situation. I would imagine you could have an SSD installed, and if not it would be easy to do so yourself after you receive the laptop, though you'd obviously have to reinstall the OS.

Yeah, would digital storm be able to send me the re-install disk? I honestly don't want to go thought the hassle of calling Microsoft up to get an OS disk...
