Hey everyone. I'm looking to build a rig that will be capable of handling Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects CS5, smoothly. Photoshop is the major one because I use it the most, and as I use a Canon 5D Mark II in RAW format, the image files are pretty big (24-30mb) so I know RAM will play a main factor.. In addition, I'll be playing a fair amount of WoW, CoD MW2, and Crysis 2 when it comes out. I'm hoping the system will be able to achieve max settings at least until the end of 2011. My budget is around 3500-4500. I also prefer a LC system rather than a fan system because of the OC'ing potential. I'll be using the Dell U4210 for the setup.
So yeah, please rate and let me know if everything looks fine. I'd also welcome any recommendations. Thank you and I really appreciate it! This system is $3,974. First thing I did was upgrade the mobo to the 3x sli to give you some upgrade room. Also, I took off the corsair dominator ram because its not really worth the extra cash. I went with the hdd with the 64 mb cache because it was only about 10 dollars more might as well get a little more bang for your bucks, if not you can keep the one you have. I switched out the 5970 with 2 Nvidia gtx 480 cards, because they're simply the most powerful single unit gpu's and in sli they will definitely take out any of the games you want. I also upgraded your psu to be able to take on 3x sli, which for about $100 dollars over your budget you could go with 3 gtx 480's but that might be a little overkill. Also, as far as the gpu overclock I kept it, but you might want to just let someone help you oc it over the forums, because DS I think will only oc it with about a 10 to 15% boost, and if you wanted them to do more I'm sure you'd have to go with the gpu LC config. |
